Message from the New EiC
Dear Readers, Contributors, and Educators,
I am honored to step into the role of Editor-in-Chief of the Indian Journal of Marketing (IJM). I sincerely thank the leadership of Associated Management Consultants Private Limited for their confidence in me. As I take on this role, my vision is to elevate the Indian Journal of Marketing to new heights. Our primary goals in the next 2-3 years include enhancing the journal's Cite Score and Scopus ranking, achieving indexing in the Web of Science, and moving up from ABDC-C to ABDC-B in the ABDC Journal Quality List. We also aim to expand our global readership and influence, which is crucial for establishing the journal as a leading publication in management research. We plan to list IJM in some of the regional databases of advanced economies to attract submissions from advanced economies. To achieve these objectives, we aim to introduce a year-round submission window to minimize publication delays and ensure timely reviews.
Our focus will be on publishing research based on sound quantitative research, including both survey research and experimental research. Also, we look forward to publishing various types of literature reviews, including Systematic Literature Reviews (SLR) and Meta-Analysis. We are open to publishing high-quality qualitative research and multi-method studies that strengthen research outcomes. By encouraging diverse methodologies and innovative approaches, we aim to position the journal as a leading platform for groundbreaking academic discussions. To align with our strategic vision, we are in the process of updating the Editorial Advisory Board (EAB) and Editorial Review Board (ERB) and will invite nominations from distinguished scholars and professionals committed to advancing high-quality research. This journey is a collaborative effort. The ongoing support of our editorial team, contributors, and readers is essential to our success. I encourage everyone to contribute quality papers, provide constructive feedback, and champion the journal's mission. Together, we can establish the Indian Journal of Marketing as a prominent voice in management research, benefiting academia, industry, and society.
Finally, I extend my gratitude to Mrs. Satya Gilani, the former Editor-in-Chief, for her outstanding leadership and contributions. Her dedication has greatly enhanced the journal’s reputation and laid a strong foundation for future growth. I am also thankful to Mr. Deepak Sawhney, Director and Head of Operations at Associated Management Consultants Private Limited, New Delhi, for his trust in me. Additionally, I appreciate Ms. Priyanka Gilani, Managing Editor, for her unwavering commitment to excellence, which has significantly improved the journal’s quality and impact. I look forward to working closely with her and the entire team to take the journal to new heights.
